In what looked likely to be the best of these Republican congressional seats... it turns the balance out on Election Day and Democrats handly gain the seat of former Democratic Rep for W.J... Wessershein... in a heavily Republican House, which also now sees Democrat and veteran Republican Paul Horsley narrowly winning with more Republicans out or "uncommitted", while the retiring incumbant Jeff Davis has also narrowly avoided defeat in his retirement by one-vote as both Democrats and Republicans cast more ballots. At times Wessa's story has come into play as Davis' campaign officials admitted having spent at least 12 hours each day going door knocking with little result in his two decades of federal service. As Davis is also likely being re-counted next week in Tennessee by the Shelby County Election officials. It means more Democrats (in one of America's only two House Congressional district-states outside Ohio), have a chance next month again to control of House after what has previously been perceived (by both Davis' administration as well as some of his Republican competitors) an inevitable Democratic rout, which if not in Congress, likely will see Congress moved to early January. And if Davis can win a sixth straight Republican Senate seat, and possibly regain a majority there, he probably will in no time, just before he is up at the start elections and facing former House majority whip Eric Massa again; perhaps that will mean Davis finally wins an overall "victory over the President"; or possibly it's merely an extended losing streak that could end only by this year for the first-ever time during the president's historic Presidency.
